Mold Department Manager – Newbern, TN The Mold Department Manager will have overall responsibility for planning, organizing, and coordinating plant molding activities. The position reports directly to the General Manager.

What you Will do in Your Role

Coach, mentor, and lead talent development to drive ownership, sustainability, and help advance our company culture

Ensure manufacturing goals are met and drive continuous improvement

Build strong customer relations and foster a positive work environment

Determine the best molding process and maintain an organized system, optimize processes and methods to ensure maximum and steady output, increase efficiency, and reduce waste

Review mold designs based on customer specifications

Work with Engineering on tool designs in order to achieve optimum cycles and quality parts

Monitor the schedule of molds through the tool shop when repairs, preventive maintenance, and engineering changes are necessary. Monitor the tool shop on duration of all such repairs, preventive maintenance, and engineering changes

Work toward the elimination of scrap by properly evaluating the causes and developing and maintaining a comprehensive process ensuring required quality standards are met

Basic Qualifications

Experience leading, coaching and developing a team in a manufacturing environment

Experience with injection molding and tooling

Experience developing and maintaining relationships in a cross-functional organization

Experience using Lean Manufacturing principles and techniques

Additional Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration

Experience working in the automotive industry
