two Manning Endowed Professor positions
as part of a cluster hire in:
Information Systems with focus in AI, AIS, Data Analytics
Operations Management with focus in Supply Chain and Business Analytics
Appointments are open rank ( Full, Associate, or senior level/seasoned Assistant Professor
at the AACSB accredited colleges) depending on qualifications.
About The Manning School Of Business
AACSB-accredited, serving 3,750+ undergraduate and graduate students.
Located in a state-of-the-art facility just 30 miles northwest of Boston.
Part of UMass Lowell, the second-largest public university in Massachusetts, with more than 18,000 students.
OIS Department: 13 full-time faculty offering undergraduate, master’s, and Ph.D. programs, with active research culture and international collaborations.
Endowed Professor Benefits
Competitive 9-month base salary plus 1-month summer salary annually.
Substantial research funding (conference travel, seminars, research support).
Access to Ph.D. research assistance and administrative support.
Teaching load: up to 2 courses per academic year.
Initial 5-year appointment, renewable for 3-year terms pending review.
Responsibilities (Both Areas)
Lead impactful research, teaching, and community engagement in area of specialization.
Publish in top peer-reviewed journals and present at major conferences.
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses (on campus and online).
Supervise doctoral research and serve on dissertation committees.
Pursue internal and external funding opportunities.
Build strong industry connections and engage in professional associations.
AI/AIS/Data Analytics Specialization Minimum Qualifications (Required):
Ph.D. in Business Administration with concentration in IS/AIS from an AACSB-accredited business school or closely related areas.
Experience teaching at the college level.
Record of high-quality peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.
At least 3 or more years as an Assistant Professor (for Associate Professor appointment) at a research university.
Experience on dissertation committees.
Preferred Qualifications:
3–5 years teaching AI/AIS/Data Analytics (preferably in a business school).
Demonstrated research in business applications of AI-Analytics, AIS, etc.
Experience of editorial review board in leading journals of the field as an ERB member, AE/SE/DE.
Experience with online teaching.
Evidence of external funding activity.
Strong collaboration skills across faculty and programs.
Supply Chain and Business Analytics Specialization Minimum Qualifications (Required):
Ph.D. in Business Administration with concentration in OM/SCM from an AACSB-accredited business school or closely related areas.
Experience teaching at the college level.
Record of peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations.
At least 3 or more years as an Assistant Professor (for Assoc Professor appointment) at a research university.
Experience on dissertation committees.
Preferred Qualifications:
3–5 years teaching Supply Chain Analytics (preferably in a business school).
Demonstrated research in business applications of Operations, SCM or Business Analytics.
Experience of editorial review board in leading journals of the field as an ERB member, AE/SE/DE.
Experience with online teaching.

Strong collaboration skills across faculty and programs.
