Candidate will serve as a Quality Control Analyst within the Rejection Control organization. Virginia Class Rejection Control's main functions include assessment, assignment, tracking and disposition of Engineering Reports (ERs), to support Ship Certification.
This position requires a working knowledge and understanding of technical dispositions and/or interpretation of technical data to correctly disposition the ER. It requires independent decision‑making and good judgement skills, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills.
Rejection Control interfaces with many levels of management and functional organizations on a daily basis to resolve issues. Analysts are required to use and maintain several electronic systems such as Microsoft Office, JCALS, EB7F/7G, TSM, EWP, and MRPII.
This position requires flexible work schedules to support weekends, major milestones, and key events.
Qualifications Required
1-3 years of related experience OR, in lieu of experience, an Associate's or Bachelor's degree
High School Diploma/GED
Must be willing to work 1st and 2nd shift with rotational weekend coverage
Preferred
Shipyard experience
Prior experience with Microsoft Office, JCALS, Teamcenter, and/or MRPII
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, EB7F/7G, JCALS, Teamcenter and EWP
Skills
Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Candidate should be technically minded with a solid understanding of the submarine construction process
High attention to detail and ability to demonstrate previous experience in performing at a high quality level
Applicant must be a self-motivator with a strong awareness of procedural compliance and data integrity
