The Division of Cardiology at UMass Memorial Medical Center is looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our diverse group of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). At UMass you will work in a collaborative, team-based system, at the top of your license in a dynamic outpatient clinic role. Responsibilities
Work closely with multiple interventional Cardiologists and EP providers
See diverse population in the Cardiology clinic of a tertiary medical center
Perform non-invasive cardiac stress testing (nuclear, exercise, pharmacologic)
Obtain complete medical histories
Complete comprehensive physical exams
Order and interpret lab and radiographic data including stress tests
Formulate diagnosis and therapeutic treatment plans
Order and prescribe medications
Assist with patient flow through the clinic
Follow patients longitudinally across the adult life span
Counsel patients and family
See urgent patient as needed based on clinic volume
Position Qualifications
Masters degree from accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Current board certification
Current NP/PA license for Massachusetts
Current DEA and Massachusetts controlled substance registration
Must have ACLS
Experience/Skills
Cardiology experience preferred
Experience in outpatient clinic environment
