Senior Systems Analyst Seminole State College of Florida

The Senior Systems Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing the colleges enterprise systems. This role collaborates with stakeholders to assess system needs, identify issues, and design effective technical solutions. The Analyst also coordinates resources, communicates project timelines, and ensures successful implementation of new and upgraded systems. Essential Functions Performs system design, analysis, coding, troubleshooting, and project management functions for the colleges administrative data systems. Designs and generates statistical summaries, database queries, reports, and custom ad hoc data requests. Provides operational and technical support using Structured Query Language (SQL), Groovy Scripts, and PeopleSoft Query. Collaborates with Computing and Telecom Services (CTS) Senior Management to plan projects, report on progress, and ensure alignment with strategic goals. Provides project guidance to team members in areas of design, analysis, programming, and implementation. Ensures that team members understand and comply with established standards, policies, and procedures, and periodically reviews quality checkpoints. Develops and maintains standardized documentation outlining input parameters, operational procedures, and program execution requirements. Assists in training programming staff in technical standards, development techniques, and best practices. Assists operations staff in understanding program execution, job sequencing, and workflow management. Coordinates with end users during the implementation of new systems and enhancements to existing systems. Stays current with software developments and recommends practical improvements or upgrades to senior management. Performs other duties as may be required or assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution. Four years of experience with any one development tool or combination of tools, such as PeopleTools, PeopleCode, Application Engine, SQRs, Component Interface Objects, Application Developer, Query, Workflow, Groovy Scripts, or other related tools. One year of experience with enterprise systems (i.e. PeopleSoft, Oracle Student Cloud/Student Financial Planning, Workday, and Banner). One year of experience with database query language, e.g., SQL, and scripting.

Desired Qualifications

Masters degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution. Functional business process knowledge of Colleges specific areas, Financials, Campus Solutions, Human Capital Management (HCM) and Interaction HUB. Experience with PeopleSoft application architecture, including infrastructure, database table structure and design standards. Experience with PeopleSoft Fluid.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Demonstrated knowledge of PeopleSoft internet architecture. Extensive knowledge of multiple development tools. Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communications skills. Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to anticipate outcomes. Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and proficiency with videoconferencing applications, including Zoom/Teams. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. Demonstrated critical thinking skills; ability to deal with ambiguity, resolve complex problems, and effectively manage projects. Excellent analytical and decision-making skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast?paced, multi?priority environment. Ability to treat confidential information with sensitivity. Ability to successfully develop and manage relationships at all levels of the organization and influence a variety of stakeholders. Ability to create new and innovative solutions. Work Environment and Special Considerations

Works in an office environment. May occasionally travel between campuses and other local destinations. May occasionally work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
