What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)

Ensure timely completion of applications for initial and re-credentialing by assisting applicants with necessary documentation

Maintain an accurate physician database and perform daily data entry tasks

Communicate regularly with applicants and healthcare professionals to meet credentialing criteria within specified timeframes

Conduct file audits and provide feedback on completed credentialing files

Assist in the training and orientation of new team members

What is Required (Qualifications)

Minimum of two years of post-high school education, training, or experience; an Associate degree in health administration or related field preferred

One year of work experience in a healthcare environment with general knowledge of the healthcare industry

Familiarity with NCQA and TJC standards, NPDB guidelines, and hospital policies and procedures

Proficiency in database organization and management, as well as Windows-based word processing software

Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

Current CPCS and/or CPMSM eligibility by the National Association Medical Staff Services

Experience in a credentialing role within a healthcare organization
