The Creative Operations Director is the bridge between strategy and execution — a mix of project manager, creative director, and problem solver. This is a builder role. You’ll be setting up the creative department from scratch, designing the systems, processes, and structure that make great work possible.

This job collaborates directly with the VP, Marketing and is optimal for someone who can move comfortably between creative conversations and operational ones to bring visions to life. You’ll work across marketing, media, and automation to make sure ideas don’t just sound good but actually perform. You’ll bring clarity, consistency, and direction to a fast-moving environment while keeping things fun and collaborative along the way.

Responsibilities Creative Strategy and Leadership

Translate business and marketing goals into creative plans that inspire action.

Build and oversee campaign development from concept through launch with VP, Marketing.

Develop brand and sub-brand systems, templates, and workflows that scale across channels.

Project Management and Process Design

Create and manage timelines, workflows, and tools that keep projects running smoothly.

Lead creative reviews, manage feedback loops, and ensure final delivery hits the mark.

Identify what’s working and improve what isn’t — continuously refining how the team operates.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner closely with marketing, design, and performance teams to keep creative aligned with goals while outsourcing and managing projects.

Manage agency and freelancer relationships and keep external partners synced with internal priorities.

Build strong relationships across departments to keep communication clear and consistent.

Team Development and Culture

Help recruit, onboard, and mentor vendors, copywriters, creative designers, and more.

Build a team culture that values creativity, accountability, and progress.

Encourage experimentation, celebrate wins, and keep things moving even when it gets messy.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience in creative project management, marketing operations, or creative leadership.

Proven track record of building or improving creative processes that drive results.

Strong understanding of storytelling, design, and brand consistency.

Experience managing cross-functional projects with internal and external teams.

Skilled in creative tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and project systems (Asana, ClickUp, Monday).

Excellent communication and leadership skills with a bias toward action and clarity.

COMPENSATION : Base Salary range of $80,000 to $90,000 plus incentive bonus up to 20% of base compensation.
