Our client is looking for an experienced and hands-on

Computer Technician

for an initial

6-month contract-to-hire

role. This position requires a professional with a minimum of

3 years of computer technology/ VOIP Phones experience

who is equally comfortable with hardware installation, physical IT infrastructure work, and software configuration. The ideal candidate will be a critical part of their IT support team, ensuring smooth and reliable operation of their technology systems, particularly our Voice over IP (VoIP) telecommunications. Responsibilities

Perform

physical IT work , including but not limited to, running, terminating, and testing network cables, installing hardware components, and setting up workstations. Install, configure, and troubleshoot

Voice over IP (VoIP) phone systems and related hardware/software. Provide technical support and maintenance for desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly and efficiently. Maintain accurate inventory of IT assets and documentation of network configurations and support procedures. Collaborate with the IT team on various projects and infrastructure upgrades. Adhere to all company policies and security standards. Qualifications

Required Experience Minimum of

3 years of verifiable experience

in a computer technician or similar IT support role. Demonstrable experience setting up, configuring, and

troubleshooting VoIP phones

(Voice over IP). Proven ability to perform

physical IT infrastructure tasks

(e.g., cable pulling, patch panel termination, server/rack mounting). Skills & Attributes

Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Strong communication and customer service skills. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces as required for IT infrastructure tasks.
