Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking an experienced Tax Staff to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $74,000 to $93,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with senior team members to support both small and large international client engagements.
Prepare corporate, partnership, and individual federal and multi‑state tax returns, including consolidated filings.
Record financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and generate basic financial statements using accounting software.
Conduct tax research to ensure compliance with current regulations and provide accurate guidance.
Assist in managing project timelines and help junior staff prioritize tasks to meet deadlines efficiently.
Requirements
At least 1+ year(s) of experience in tax compliance or consulting, with a focus on international tax matters.
Hands‑on experience preparing tax filings for individuals and various business entities including LLCs, S‑Corps, and C‑Corps.
Familiarity with international tax forms such as 5471, 5472, 8865, 8858, and 1118.
Ability to work within budget constraints and manage multiple assignments effectively.
Proficiency in both Japanese and English for clear communication with bilingual clients and colleagues.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a closely related discipline.
A minimum of 2+ years of experience in public accounting or a similar financial role.
Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, including corporate and individual tax compliance.
Prior experience creating financial statements through transaction analysis and journal entry adjustments.
Knowledge of depreciation, accruals, and property and equipment accounting principles.
