The McGinty laboratory at UNC-CH invites highly skilled and motivated structural biologists, biochemists, or chemical biologists, who are interested in expanding their skills while working on significant and impactful chromatin research, to apply for this position. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will conduct independent research furthering the laboratory's studies of proteins that regulate chromatin structure and function through epigenetic processes, disruption of which leads to many human diseases including cancer.
The Postdoctoral Research Associate will be a part of a multidisciplinary team that will express and purify recombinant proteins and DNA for use in structural biology and biochemistry experiments. Projects will require the use of single particle cryo-electron microscopy and/or X-ray crystallography, as well as other biochemical and biophysical techniques.
