Ascension St John is looking for a Cardiovascular APP for our elite Cardiology team. First assistance experience preferred, but not required. This role involves partnering with Ascension St John to provide medical services to patients. Participates in the care and medical decision making for preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative patients. Endoscopic Vein & Radial Artery harvest Surgical First assistant: cases include CABG, aortic and mitral valve repair/replacement, ECMO cannulation Order, perform and interpret imaging, data and labs. Perform procedures such as central line placement, arterial line placement and chest tube placement. Navigate and create records in the patient chart using the Cerner EMR system. Schedule/Call Rotation
Position is Full-time day-shift, (4) 10-hour shifts/week with rotating on-call assignments. Daily, Weekend and Holiday On-Call assignments are split evenly among the on-call team (1 in 4). Requirements / Qualifications
2+ years CV Surgery OR experience
preferred Current Board Certification Current BLS and ACLS Current prescribing privileges including DEA license for controlled substances. Oklahoma State License & CSR BLS Provider must be obtained within 30 days of hire. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Clinical Nurse Specialist credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing prior to hire date and privileged through the St. John Health System credentialing process. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing prior to hire date. Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required. Master's degree required. About Tulsa
