Using APTA Fund Software (training provided)

Brief Job Duties

Reviews requisitions, purchase orders, and invoices/requests for accuracy in amount and all other information.

Inputs all invoices for three districts and prepares weekly batches for payment processing.

Reconciles vendor statements and resolves discrepancies directly with vendors.

Monitors and coordinates the purchasing process to include the maintenance of cost control procedures such as proper coding and accurate weekly reports.

Provides training and guidance to school administrative secretaries in the areas of purchasing.

Responsible for all vendor maintenance including creating new vendors for A/P.

Processes annual 1099s.

Certification/License Valid DOE Criminal History Record Check/Fingerprinting.

Education

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

College degree preferred.

Experience

5+ years experience with Accounts Payable.

APTAFund Software experience preferred but will train.

Working knowledge of computer spreadsheets with experience using Windows applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel as well as Google Docs.
