We are seeking a motivated designer with strong creativity and attention to detail to join our Learning & Development team. This role will focus on designing and developing engaging eLearning experiences that support employee development across the enterprise.
Pay Rate
$60,000 - $65,000 per year.
Responsibilities
Create engaging and interactive learning activities and compelling course content, instructional materials and curriculum that enhances retention and transfer of knowledge.
Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needs.
Partner to develop training programs that promote company culture, pride in our company and products, and help reduce turnover.
Design instructional end goals and create content that matches them.
Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product.
Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts.
Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods.
Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process.
Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.)
Decide on the criteria used to evaluate learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments.
Maintain project documentation and course folders.
Analyze learning data and feedback to continuously improve instructional materials and enhance learner engagement.
Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines and budgets.
Stay current on learning trends and learning management tools.
Support and embrace the Great Day Team Commandments.
Other projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Proven working experience in instructional design and instructional technology.
Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
Lesson and project planning skills.
Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System.
Ability to work effectively independently and collaboratively; self-motivated and able to organize to meet deadlines or competing priorities/projects.
Ability to influence and work in a collaborative work environment focused on results.
Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience with eLearning Authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, Adobe, Captivate, etc.).
Knowledge of LMS platforms and SCORM/xAPI publishing.
Portfolio or sample work required
demonstrating course design, interactivity, and visual layout.
