Digital Signal Processing Engineer Position
Parsons Corporation is seeking a qualified Digital Signal Processing Engineer (DSP) to join our headquarters in Chantilly, VA.
We are currently searching for full‑time DSP Engineers who will design, develop and maintain complex systems.
Our technical efforts focus on signal processing, image processing, full‑motion video, mission planning, and data analytics.
The role involves working on multiple projects at once, understanding customer needs, and ensuring end‑to‑end delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing
Design, develop, and optimize digital signal processing algorithms for applications such as audio, communications, radar, etc.
Implement DSP algorithms in software and/or hardware using C, C++, MATLAB, Python, and other programming languages.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate DSP solutions into larger systems and ensure compatibility.
Conduct simulations, testing, and debugging of DSP algorithms to validate functionality and performance.
Stay updated on advancements in DSP technologies and apply innovative techniques to novel challenges.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to signal processing, hardware/software integration, and system performance.
Support the product development lifecycle, including prototyping, testing, and deployment of DSP‑based systems.
Required Skills
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
TS/SCI clearance required.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience implementing algorithms related to digital wireless communications, signal processing, signal geolocation, estimation theory, image processing, control systems, statistics, machine learning, or pattern recognition.
Experience with one or more tools/frameworks: X‑Midas, GNU Radio, MATLAB.
Minimum of 1 year’s experience with C/C++, Python, or other programming languages.
Minimum of 1 year’s experience with Linux.
Experience with Git or other code‑management tools.
Desired Skills
Experience with CUDA or other parallel‑processing and high‑performance computing frameworks.
Experience working with ARM or other non‑x86 embedded platforms.
Experience using software‑defined radio hardware (USRP or similar) for testing or prototyping.
Application of machine‑learning techniques to signal processing, communications, and localization challenges.
An active TS/SCI with polygraph preferred.
Security Clearance Requirement An active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position.
Salary Range $86,700.00 – $151,700.00
