ROLE: AI Workflow Automation Specialist (Contract, 6–8 months)

Contract length: 6–8 months (extension possible)
Hours: 30–40 per week
Location: Greater Nashville preferred; remote considered within U.S.
Pay: $70–$100 per hour (W2 or 1099, depending on profile)
Overview We need a hands‑on specialist to design and implement AI‑enabled workflow automations. This role is less about pure software development and more about connecting business processes to Microsoft Power Automate, Copilot, and OpenAI endpoints, with document OCR and data extraction as common use cases.
Key Responsibilities
Identify high-value processes for automation with IT and business stakeholders
Build and maintain workflows using Power Automate / Azure Logic Apps and Copilot
Integrate with OpenAI / Azure OpenAI APIs for querying, summarization, and validation
Implement OCR/document parsing to extract structured data from PDFs and scans
Connect Microsoft 365 tools (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Excel) with external APIs
Create documentation and train end users on best practices
Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve automation performance
Required Skills
3+ years in workflow automation, RPA, or AI integration
Strong experience with Microsoft Power Automate (cloud and/or desktop) or Azure Logic Apps
Practical use of OpenAI or Azure OpenAI API and prompt design
OCR/document processing experience (e.g., Azure Form Recognizer, Tesseract, UiPath OCR, or similar)
Data querying and transformation (SharePoint/Excel/SQL/JSON). Basic Python or PowerShell is a plus
Clear communication with non-technical stakeholders
