About The Role:
As a Project Engineer, you will provide mid-level engineering/technical expertise on complex electric transmission design projects for high-voltage (HV) overhead utility systems. Specifically, the position prepares, reviews and/or provides guidance for line routing, survey coordination, PLS-CADD modeling, structure design, foundation design, clearance checks, plan/profile development, material specification and procurement, constructability evaluations, work order package preparation, permitting, vendor/subcontractor coordination and construction support. What You Will Be Doing:
Develop and approve PLS-CADD Criteria Finalize PLS-CADD models Schedule project tasks for project support team Attend client stakeholder meetings Complete design review meetings with the client Provide input on special design questions Attend internal design review meetings What You Bring:
Bachelor's in Engineering (required) Professional Engineer (PE) certification (preferred) 4+ years of related transmission line engineering experience in the electric utility industry (required) Experience in using PLS-CADD for designing transmission lines (required) Experience with design codes and standards such as NESC, IEEE, ASCE, and ACI Experience with liaising substation, transmission, environmental, real estate, construction, and maintenance stakeholders Demonstrated ability in the application of engineering theories and principles Increasingly proficient in practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, preparing, and presenting Ability to work in a safe manner and always obey safety regulations Ability to be a self-starter and thrive in an unstructured, varied and deadline- driven work environment Strong ability to collaborate with team members and peers in the electrical utility industry Effective communication skills (verbal, written and presentation) Demonstrated verbal and technical writing skills Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy If you meet these qualifications, please apply. #J-18808-Ljbffr
