Automotive Technician
Southern Motors Honda is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Automotive Technician
to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles in a fast-paced service environment. You should have strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and repair procedures. Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid flushes, and brake inspections. Conduct detailed vehicle inspections and make recommendations for repairs. Repair or replace vehicle components including brakes, steering systems, engines, transmissions, and suspension parts. Ensure all repairs and maintenance tasks are completed according to manufacturer and safety standards. Maintain accurate records of services and repairs. Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle status. Stay current with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques. Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines. Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; automotive trade school or certification is a plus. ASE Certification preferred or willingness to obtain. 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and vehicle systems. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Benefits (if applicable):
