Position Summary: Sanitation Associate
As a Sanitation Associate, it will be your job to maintain all sanitation standards established by the Distribution Center in order to ensure a clean and safe work environment for all associates.
Duties and Responsibilities • Pick up debris, empty trash cans, remove spills in a prompt manner; dust racks, doors, lights, etc. • Sweep and mop slots, clean restrooms, break-rooms and offices in assigned areas. • Clean sanitation equipment, including sanitation boxes and mops. • Record all damaged product on a damage control sheet. • Sweep and scrub floors, as well as outside areas to help ensure the safety, proper sanitation and efficiency of the distribution center. • Maintain equipment daily; topping off fluids, cleaning out brushes and washing equipment. • Record and report all damaged product properly. • Follow good sanitation practices; keep work area clean and free of debris. • Report equipment and pallet jack problems to maintenance. • Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting work group or distribution center that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs. • Ensure compliance with company standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivity.
Minimum Qualifications • Able to reach, stoop, bend and lift up to 60 lbs. • Able to stand for long periods of time • Able to work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e. cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered industrial trucks) • Able to work needed schedule to perform assigned duties
Preferred Qualifications • High School Education • Certification on powered industrial equipment where applicable • Familiarity/experience in a distribution environment
Skills and Abilities • Able to meet production standards set by the company • Able to read and understand written and numeric product identifiers • Highly motivated self-starter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
