We are seeking a highly skilled and hands‑on Senior API Tester with deep expertise in Telecom BSS/OSS systems and proven experience working with major telcos such as AT&T, T‑Mobile, Verizon, etc. The ideal candidate will design, execute, and maintain API test strategies and automation frameworks, ensuring seamless integration and performance of telecom services.

Responsibilities

  • Perform functional, regression, performance, and security testing of RESTful and SOAP APIs.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including developers, architects, and business analysts—to understand requirements and ensure full test coverage.
  • Validate API integrations across BSS/OSS systems such as CRM, Billing, Order Management, Inventory, Provisioning, and Network Management.
  • Analyze test results, identify root causes of issues, and provide detailed reports and recommendations.
  • Work with tools such as Postman, SoapUI, JMeter, RestAssured, Karate, or similar.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with telecom standards and protocols (e.g., TM Forum, 3GPP).

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in API testing, with at least 3+ years in the Telecom domain.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with REST/SOAP API testing tools and automation frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of BSS/OSS architecture and workflows.
  • Experience working with major telcos such as AT&T, T‑Mobile, Verizon, or similar.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Java, Python, or Groovy for test automation.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with microservices architecture and API gateways (e.g., Apigee, Kong).
  • Knowledge of network protocols, telecom standards, and service orchestration.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • ISTQB or equivalent testing certification is a plus.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $44.85/hour – $70.07/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision, and retirement benefits.
