Overview
The Request for Proposal (RFP) Specialist will support the company’s efforts in responding to customer Requests for Proposals (RFP) for the Northeast Region. They will draft, review, and execute RFP responses submitted by prospective clients. They will act as a project manager for RFPs and other communication deliverables that support MMA sales activities. Responsibilities include following best practices for completing RFP responses, maintaining and updating our database of response content, and promoting continual improvement of RFPs to help retain current clients and drive new business revenue. Drive Revenue Growth: Work closely with producers and sales leaders to identify client/prospect business drivers, and create the optimal proposal communication strategy, materials, messaging, and graphic approach Adhere to the proposal development process: develop work plans/schedules, review RFPs for complete understanding, facilitate planning calls, assign tasks, determine research needs, monitor progress, organize peer review, and format for final submission Adhere to brand, style, and visual identity guidelines for consistency across deliverables Take full ownership of assigned projects from concept through completion Demonstrate strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality Work independently with minimal oversight while meeting deadlines Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to develop consistent, compelling responses Collaborate with other proposal teams to identify content, strategy, or formatting opportunities Write and edit proposal/presentation content that describes service features and benefits clearly and persuasively Review drafts for clarity, conciseness, logic, flow, tone, completeness, accuracy, and consistency; correct grammar and formatting Collaborate with graphic design to create layout style, template, and graphics optimized for readability Support Proposal Database
Utilize Loopio to update and refine company content with in-house experts Generate proposals using Loopio and keep the content up to date Respond to customization requests for the database and reports Research new presentation methods and platforms Become proficient with MyMMA Analytics tools to include up-to-date data in proposals Our future colleague
Service-oriented with high personal standards and a hands-on work style Comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Positive and approachable, able to work with diverse personalities Bachelor’s Degree in English, Marketing, Communications or related field strongly preferred 2 years of experience in a professional office setting related to the responsibilities 2-3 years’ experience submitting proposals for private, public, government, and non-profit organizations preferred Excellent written and verbal communication; strong grammar and language skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office equipment Technologically savvy to navigate electronic submissions and online bids Creative, proactive, and able to identify and implement practical solutions Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines Experience working in a fast-paced environment with prioritization and multitasking Shared commitment to company values: Integrity, Collaboration, Passion, Innovation, Accountability We know there are excellent candidates who might not check all of these boxes.
