Overview CesiumAstro is a hardware company developing out-of-the-box communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms. We are looking for collaborative, energetic, and forward-thinking individuals to join our team. This role focuses on RF hardware design for space systems within a startup environment.

RF Engineer II The ideal candidate has experience in board-level RF electronics design and enjoys working in a startup environment to develop leading-edge RF hardware for satellites, spacecraft, and aerospace systems. The successful candidate will contribute to the design of RF circuits and systems through all phases of the development process.

Responsibilities

Design RF circuits and systems through all phases of development, including concept, requirements definition, part selection, detailed design, analysis, manufacturing, testing, qualification, and in-orbit support.

Perform board-level schematic design and PCB layout of RF circuits and system-level concepts such as RF cascade analysis.

Contribute to phased array communication system work, including RF front-ends, frequency converters and synthesizers, filters, beamformers, power dividers, and phased array antennas.

Prepare block diagrams, detailed schematics, PCB layout and routing, simulations, and test design.

Present engineering design review materials to senior engineers and other leaders; excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or institution.

Minimum of 2 years of industry experience in design and analysis of RF electronics design, analysis, test, and troubleshooting.

Experience with professional simulation tools such as HFSS and ADS, and EDA tools such as Altium.

Hands-on experience with lab instruments such as vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Experience

Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or institution.

Python or other programming languages.

Aerospace electronics design, development, and qualification.

Worst-case circuit analysis, failure mode and criticality analyses, and reliability analysis.

Antenna design and test.

EMI/EMC design and mitigation techniques.

Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $90,000 - $110,000 per year.
