We are pleased to offer the opportunity to work within the DuPage County Stormwater Management Department as a Project Engineer. Hybrid work schedule is available upon completion of a 6-month probationary period and supervisor approval. Oversees the investigation, development, and design of a variety ofstormwaterprojects. Reviews studies, reports, plans and specifications for proposedstormwater management projects. Works with unincorporated residents Countywide to resolve localized drainage concerns. Resolves issues or problems that may arise during the planning, design,or constructionof a project. Oversees work performed by consultants or assigned staff on a wide variety of projects. Oversees a variety of stormwater management and drainage construction projects. Provides leadership and technical support to Civil Engineers, Engineering Technicians,and Stormwater Maintenance Crewin daily work assignments and reviewing work completed. Represents the County with governmental jurisdictions, consultants and the general public on engineering matters. Ensures that proposed improvements are locally coordinated. Preparation of various documents for the procurement of consultant servicesand public bids. Prepares written correspondence or gives presentations to various municipalities or County Board Committees. Other duties as assigned by the Stormwater Management Department. Requirements include the following experience or equivalent combination of training and experience:

Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited university Minimum of four (4) years of professional civil engineering experience Must possess an active registration as an Illinois Professional Engineer (P.E.). Candidates with an out-of-state Professional Engineer license must be able to transfer their license to Illinois within 6 months of employment Must possess and maintain in good standing a valid Illinois Driver’s license A pre-employment background check is required.
