Medical Director, Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care at AdventHealth for Children – Orlando, Florida. The Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is seeking an experienced Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist to help lead the division of pediatric cardiac intensive care. Clinical time will be exclusively in the CICU and account for 80% of time, with 20% allocated to leadership activities. The leader will work with the Medical Director of Pediatric and Adult Congenital Heart Surgery and collaborate with the pediatric cardiology team (seven physicians). Responsibilities
Further growth of the Cardiac ICU program aligned with the surgical program Mentorship of CICU physicians Develop quality improvement processes and standardize care Engage stakeholders within the hospital and in the community Collaborate with existing cardiac surgery and pediatric cardiology leadership Qualification Requirements
At least five years’ experience post fellowship Preferred experience leading a Cardiac Critical Care group or division Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Critical Care Pediatric Cardiac Critical Care Fellowship or Cardiology Fellowship (preferred but not required) Strong communication skills Team player mentality Practice Description

Our Walt Disney Pavilion at AdventHealth for Children is a full-service, tertiary children’s hospital with over 200 pediatric beds, more than 35 PICU beds with a dedicated CICU, a 102-bed NICU, 17-bed pediatric ED, and statewide pediatric network and transport system. We started our comprehensive pediatric open heart program in 2012 and have key destination programs including level IV Epilepsy, bone marrow transplant and solid organ transplants (kidney and liver), and expanded NICU beds to 150 in 2017. The network includes 28 hospitals across the state and a dedicated pediatric center in Orlando. In 2019, AdventHealth for Children was recognized by US News & World Report as the best Children's Hospital for newborn care in Florida, and we are recognized by The Leapfrog Group for quality and safety and hold magnet designation for nursing.
