Responsibilities Sales Customer Engagements: Proactively engages with customer technical decision makers and influencers to support the customer’s digital transformation, challenge them when necessary, and position the customer to deliver architectures. Keeps up to date with customer information, industry trends, and compliance regulations.

Scale & Collaboration: Captures core competitive knowledge across solution areas and delivers back to product and engineering teams to enhance capabilities and develop compete strategies. Applies and customizes existing demonstration assets and oversees demonstrations (e.g., Architectural Design Sessions, Proof of Concept sessions) of solutions based on multiple Microsoft products through initial engagements.

Architecture Design and Deployment: Synthesizes data about customer/partner business and technical requirements, addresses them with technical architectures, and demonstrates value through design collaboration sessions. Drives pilots, proofs of concept (POC), and value realization across technology areas to move from pilots to productive deployments. Leads projects that implement technical architectures and provides thought leadership throughout pre-sales and/or implementation.

Driving Customer Success: Builds customer timelines to gain buy-in on metrics in partnership with customers and partners, establishing cadence for checking in on progress. Acts as the Voice of the Customer by driving feedback, blockers, and insights to product teams to shape products and services.

Technical Leadership: Develops a readiness plan, grows domain knowledge, and shares strategic, technical input with team members. Demonstrates leadership by expanding knowledge of Microsoft cloud solutions and acting as a role model for the architect community.

Qualifications Required/minimum qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years of experience in technical architecture, technical consulting, design and implementation, and/or technical sales OR relevant certifications from Microsoft or competitor platforms AND 3+ years of experience in technical architecture, technical consulting, design and implementation, and/or technical sales OR 5+ years of experience in technical architecture, technical consulting, design and implementation, and/or technical sales. OR equivalent experience.

3+ years of experience working directly with Azure or an equivalent cloud platform.

3+ years of experience in a pre-solutions sales, sales engineering, or combination role with a quota-carrying component.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years of experience in technical architecture, consulting, design and implementation, and/or sales OR equivalent experience.

4+ years of experience with cloud-based solution designs, migrations, and management of technology.

Digital Cloud Solution Architecture IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $51.15 - $97.88 per hour, with specific ranges for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area (USD $66.15 - $107.02 per hour).
