Solar Turbines is seeking a seasoned Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt to drive cross-functional alignment and strategic transformation across multiple workstreams to increase enterprise capacity and efficiency. This senior leader will identify enterprise‑wide opportunities, shape strategic direction, and lead embedded Black Belts to enhance operational efficiency. Leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, and project management methodologies, this leader will manage and support a portfolio of high‑impact projects to help achieve critical financial and operational objectives.

What You Will Do:

Planning, developing, initiating, and monitoring lean projects across multiple functions to improve capacity and efficiency; communicating on results and accomplishments.

Leading and managing Capacity Six Sigma project portfolios to achieve measurable business process improvements.

Tracking financial results and reports on quantifiable goals and objectives; estimating future projects from financial, throughput, lead‑time and on‑time performance improvements to assist in the prioritization of projects.

Employing Six Sigma methodology into organizational operations to meet business goals and objectives.

What You Have: Expert level of demonstrated skills and experience in:

Lean Manufacturing : Knowledge of the philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.

Six Sigma Methodology:

Knowledge of the concepts of six sigma DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) methodology; ability to use the methodology to improve the manufacturing processes and control the improvements by eliminating root causes.

Project Management:

Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

Process Improvement : Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintain focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services.

Analytical Thinking:

Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

Interpersonal Relationships : Knowledge of the techniques and the ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner.

Influencing : Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.

Problem Solving : Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Summary Pay Range:

$155,986.00 - $233,980.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
