Departmental context: The College of Engineering at UC Berkeley is recognized for its educational and research excellence, with EECS as a large, active department serving undergraduates and graduates across multiple disciplines. The department commits to maintaining strong enrollment and scheduling operations to support teaching and research. Responsibilities
Enrollment and Scheduling Management: Coordinates with the EECS Course Scheduler and Enrollment Managers, MSO, Department Chair, faculty, and other departments to ensure students progress through course sequences, avoid conflicts, and comply with campus-wide policies. Executes enrollment policies by processing waitlists, answering student enrollment questions, and securing classrooms in coordination with the Campus Scheduling Office; advises on options and collaborates with faculty schedulers on course and room needs; facilitates cross-listed and room-shared courses. Advises and proposes new enrollment policies to faculty to maintain clarity and consistency; communicates policies to students via webpages, social media, and advising; manages enrollment limits, seat reservations, and other course restrictions. Serves as backup to CS and EE department schedulers as needed. Room Scheduling: Maintains daily schedule for CS Division teaching and conference rooms; manages midterm room requests and departmental room policies. COCI Proposal Coordination: Creates and modifies course proposals in CCMS; acts as main contact for Academic Senate, department leadership, and faculty; coordinates course materials for COCI submission and provides policy guidance as needed. Special Student Programs Oversight: Analyzes concurrent enrollment options including special and international revenue-generating programs; works with department leadership, College, UC Extension, and campus partners to improve processes; analyzes enrollment trends for department management. Advises on policies and procedures at department/school/university levels; coordinates with faculty to expand select classes; advises students on course selection and troubleshooting in Special Student Programs; may recommend improvements to enrollment management for masters programs and other special programs. Recruitment and Admissions: May coordinate outreach to targeted institutions; assess applicant readiness; evaluate transcripts for course eligibility; assist with recruitment visits to Berkeley. DeCal program management: Coordinates DeCal proposals; guides students and faculty through the process; collects proposals and submits them to COCI. Events: Assists with planning and implementing complex student events (e.g., commencement and student awards). Professional Development: Maintains knowledge of student affairs issues through classes and campus meetings; stays informed on national trends and best practices in student affairs administration. Other duties as assigned related to enrollment management and student services. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or eligible equivalent experience. Working knowledge of advising and counseling techniques. Knowledge of University scheduling and enrollment systems (including SIS); understanding of university and departmental policies for risk assessment. Strong judgment and decision-making, problem-solving, and ability to identify performance metrics and improvements. Advanced ability in problem identification, reasoning, and analysis to identify trends; capacity to develop original ideas to solve problems. Strong interpersonal skills and multicultural competencies; ability to work with diverse populations. Solid working knowledge of undergraduate policies and procedures within the department and college. Salary & Benefits

The budgeted salary range is $63,000 to $85,700 yearly; the full salary range is $63,000 to $108,400 yearly. This is a 100% FTE career position eligible for full benefits.
