Integration & Test Engineer (Starlink)
to design, build, test, and operate hardware-in-the-loop systems that support Starlink software engineering efforts and testbed operations. Responsibilities
Pioneer innovative operational strategies to enhance the longevity, efficacy, and performance of existing and next-generation test systems Boost testbed assembly efficiency by identifying and eliminating bottlenecks and process inefficiencies Engineer and fabricate specialized tooling, including heavy machinery and custom equipment, to streamline testbed operations Research and recommend upgrades to capital equipment, machinery, and facility layouts to meet evolving needs and safety standards Forecast demand and manage the flow of flight hardware and critical inventory across multiple SpaceX locations Deliver actionable insights into test system performance through advanced analytics and dashboards Monitor developments in satellite avionics and lead testbed enhancements for compatibility with the evolving Starlink constellation Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline 1+ years of experience with CAD and FEA software Preferred Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering 1+ year or more of experience with SQL, BI/data analysis tools (Power BI, Grafana, Excel), software development tools (Python, Linux) or discrete event modeling tools Experience with mechanical/electromechanical design, analysis, testing, and/or manufacturing Experience as an industrial, operations, quality, process, or manufacturing engineer in a manufacturing environment CAD and factory layouts experience Proficiency with statistics, data analysis, cost/benefit analysis, and visualization Experience with inventory, production, and capacity planning (including MRP/ERP systems) Ability to translate end-user needs into design requirements and identify system enhancement opportunities Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment with a drive for continuous improvement Creative problem solving, strong analytical skills and engineering fundamentals Strong communication skills with the ability to present to engineering teams, internal customers, and leadership Additional Requirements
Willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed for mission-critical deadlines Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, enthusiasm for innovation, and commitment to improving reliability in cutting-edge technology Compensation and Benefits
Pay range: Integration & Test Engineer/Level I: $95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year Integration & Test Engineer/Level II: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge, education, and experience Base salary is part of a total rewards package including potential long-term incentives (stock, stock options, or long-term cash awards), discretionary bonuses, and the ability to purchase additional stock via an Employee Stock Purchase Plan Comprehensive medical, vision, dental coverage, retirement plan options, disability and life insurance, paid parental leave, paid vacation, paid holidays, and sick leave for exempt employees ITAR Requirements
