The Director of eCommerce is a strategic, data-driven and technically fluent leader with the proven ability to drive and scale online business. It requires a blend of strategic vision, hand‑on execution and close cross‑functions collaboration. This role has full ownership of the eCommerce channel, overseeing platform management, digital product strategy, financial performance and operation excellence. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise in Shopify, preferable Shopify Plus, and a strong understanding of the broader eCommerce technology ecosystem including CMS, CRM, ESP & ERP systems, analytics tools and third‑party integrations. This is a 5 day/week in‑office position that reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.
What you’ll do: eCommerce Strategy & Financial Oversight
Own the P&L for the eCommerce channel with a focus on revenue growth, profitability, & ROI.
Develop and execute the digital sales strategy in alignment with company goals.
Forecast and report on key KPIs: conversion rate, AOV, CAC, ROAS, LTV, & traffic sources.
Platform & Tech Stack
Lead end-to-end technical management of the Shopify platform and all related integrations.
Drive implementation and optimization of tools across CMS, CRM, ERP, email marketing, analytics, & payment gateways.
Uphold site performance, uptime, and security compliance, partner with external vendors for updates, feature rolls out and bug fixes
Explore new to market technologies such as AI integrations to keep the site on the forefront of ecommerce.
User Experience & CRM
Oversee site architecture, search/navigation, and mobile optimization.
Lead CRM initiatives to optimize build and use of customer database and all related customer interactions
Ensure consistent brand expression and a seamless shopping experience across all digital touchpoints.
Operations & Fulfillment
Work closely with operations, logistics, and customer service teams to streamline order fulfillment, shipping, returns, and post‑purchase experience.
Manage integrations and operational efficiency of third party marketplace partners including Farfetch, Mirakl, Fabric and more
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation and better system integration.
Team Leadership & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Lead & develop internal eCommerce team members while managing external partners/agencies.
Collaborate with marketing, operations, creative, merchandising, and finance teams to align channel strategy with brand campaigns and product drops.
Act as the digital voice in broader company strategy and innovation discussions.
What you’ll bring:
7+ years of eCommerce leadership, ideally in fashion or consumer lifestyle brands.
Deep expertise and hands‑on experience with Shopify (Shopify Plus preferred) and related apps/integrations, specific to ecommerce marketplaces.
Proven track record to manage digital P&L and driving commercial performance.
Strong understanding of eCommerce technologies, web development processes, and data architecture.
Demonstrated success leading CRM and UX initiatives with tangible results.
Solid grasp of fulfillment/logistics workflows and eCommerce operations.
Highly analytical with proficiency in Google Analytics, BI tools, and Excel.
Effective leader and communicator with experience managing cross‑functional teams and vendors
RLM experience, or experience in a similar ERP system, a plus.
Salary $150,000-$170,000
