Overview
Air Quality Senior Project Manager role at Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC). This position leads air permitting and regulatory compliance programs for private-sector clients with complex technical and regulatory issues in the manufacturing, oil & gas, power, solid waste, and mining industry consulting groups. The role involves developing and maintaining strong client relationships, understanding client processes, and creating permitting and compliance strategies to help facilities maintain operating flexibility. You will represent the company at conferences and in meetings to resolve project issues, plan and coordinate work, and negotiate contracts. You will work with other CEC air quality practice members across the country to develop opportunities, build business relationships, apply best practices, and address client needs. You will mentor junior and mid-level staff in planning and executing air quality projects and in directing or conducting technical reviews of client deliverables.
Responsibilities
Lead air permitting and regulatory compliance programs for private-sector clients with complex technical/regulatory issues in manufacturing, oil & gas, power, solid waste, and mining sectors.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships; understand client processes to tailor permitting and compliance strategies.
Represent the company at conferences and meetings; plan and coordinate work; negotiate contracts.
Collaborate with CEC air quality practice members nationwide to develop opportunities and apply best practices.
Mentor junior and mid-level staff in project planning, execution, and technical reviews of client deliverables.
Qualifications
15+ years of consulting, compliance, or industry experience.
B.S. or M.S. in Chemical or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Meteorology, or related fields.
Experience with emission inventory calculations, air permit application preparation, and compliance reports.
Experience in project management of air quality permitting and compliance projects.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of USEPA air quality regulations.
Preferred
P.E. license.
Knowledge of New Source Review procedures.
Experience with Best Available Control Technology analyses; and/or
Familiarity with air compliance in a variety of industries.
