The Director of Preconstruction will serve as a key leader and trusted partner for Liberty’s West Region, reporting directly to the General Manager and serving on the regional leadership team. This role is instrumental in driving the growth, performance, and reputation of the West Region by ensuring preconstruction services set the foundation for successful project delivery. The Director will lead all aspects of preconstruction, including estimating, budgeting, scheduling, constructability reviews, and client engagement. This leader will bring deep expertise in cost estimation across core construction divisions, the ability to partner with operations teams, and a passion for building high-performing teams that deliver accuracy, innovation, and value to clients. As the Director of Preconstruction for Liberty’s West Region, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of a growing market, directly influence project success, and help build a best-in-class preconstruction team. Serve as the regional leader for all preconstruction efforts, aligning strategy drive pursuit strategy, project acquisition, and client satisfaction. • Oversee all cost estimating, take-offs, pricing, and budgeting for projects across all construction divisions (general requirements, concrete, structural, benchmarking, and cost databases. professionals, building a culture of accountability, excellence, and growth. • Collaborate with operations to ensure seamless handoff from preconstruction to execution. • Build and strengthen client and partner relationships to position Liberty as the contractor of choice. • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on cost, feasibility, value engineering, and constructability Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field. • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in commercial construction, performing cost estimation and preconstruction leadership. • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret project plans, drawings, and specifications. • Strong management, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Proficiency with estimating and construction software, including Microsoft Office, Sage Estimating, Digital Takeoff Programs, Bluebeam, OnScreen Takeoff, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and Timberline. • Advanced technical skills in a Windows environment, with the ability to collect and analyze data in Excel, and prepare professional documents and correspondence in Outlook and Word. • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks with a focus on thoroughness, accuracy, and meeting deadlines. • This role involves a combination of general office conditions and exposure to field operations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods, communicate effectively, and use fine motor skills for activities such as typing, using a telephone, or writing. Time will be divided between an office environment with a quiet to moderate noise level and job site visits, which may require walking and other physical activity.
