Procurement Associate Director - Global EMI
About the Role As Procurement Associate Director - Global EMI you will report to the Procurement Director - Global EMI, Contract Manufacturing and Supply Network Transformation. You will lead a team of global category managers and enable strategies and excellence in supplier relationship management for a diverse portfolio in Electromechanical and Instrumentation (including Electronics, Motors, Sensors, Power Supply, Cables & Connectors, Connectivity, Embedded Software and other subcategories) through servant leadership and guidance. Your main objective is to support the EMI business by delivering best-in-class, innovative, sustainable and resilient supply chain solutions that provide value, competitive advantage, and strong partnerships with suppliers and internal customers. Your Main Responsibilities Lead and develop a team of high-impact global category managers Define and communicate category strategies aligned with business requirements and market conditions to drive savings and value opportunities across the organization Ensure continuous updates of category strategies by category managers based on internal and external sensing Collaborate with category managers, business unit procurement teams, R&D sourcing teams and internal customers to deliver recommendations for incorporating category strategies into business commitments for review and approval Ensure supplier selection is aligned with sourcing strategies and obtains required approvals Assign supplier relationship owners and communicate assignments into the business Guide category managers on supplier relationship management, including quarterly business reviews, multi-year value plans with preferred suppliers, and integration of innovation and sustainability activities Support negotiation planning, negotiations, and contracting with suppliers Develop and maintain risk mitigation plans for the category portfolio Take financial accountability and ensure price movements align with budget objectives Ensure optimal supply base compliance with corporate procedures and legislation About You To be successful, you should demonstrate: Self-starter mentality and growth mindset Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in healthcare Strong leadership and management skills to inspire and motivate a diverse team Commitment to results and a track record of delivering outcomes Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with suppliers and colleagues Proven initiative in implementing procurement strategies and achieving results Strong business acumen with ability to balance short-term priorities and long-term strategy Basic Qualifications BS/BA degree with 8-10+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing environments (direct materials Category Management, Procurement, Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain) or equivalent Additional Desirable Qualifications Experience with contract manufacturing and electro-mechanical, mechatronic, and medical instrumentation supply bases Previous people management experience is preferred Work Environment Travel may be required up to 30% of the time.
