Employees within a 90-minute radius of Oak Brook, IL headquarters are expected to follow in-office guidelines of 4 days per month (10 am to 2 pm), with one of the four days on a Monday or Friday. This requirement does not apply to support specialist positions. We are seeking talented Software Engineers who can create scalable user experiences and API/Service-based solutions, collaborating with an experienced product development team. You will join a cross-functional, DevOps-based, Agile team responsible for the entire product development life cycle: conception, discovery, framing, development, deployment, measurement, and continuous improvement. Transform designer mock-ups and wireframes into visually captivating and seamless front-end experiences for websites and mobile applications. Collaborate with Users, Engineers, Designers, and Product Managers to foster ideation and deliver software solutions. Employ Test First and Acceptance Criteria Driven approaches to continuously test and deliver high-quality software. Implement mobile responsive designs to ensure optimal user experiences across devices. Design and develop API services while adhering to industry best practices and standards. Ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements, including security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability. Engage in continuous professional growth by staying updated on new development tools and techniques. Contribute to delivering an exceptional client experience through collaboration and quality software. The Software Engineer II will report to the Software Engineering Manager in the Technology Department. Through these responsibilities, contribute to the overall achievements of the team and organization. Qualifications & Skills
Preferred Qualifications Years of Experience: 2-4 years in Software Product Development or Software Quality Assurance. Degree: Bachelor’s degree preferred in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related disciplines. Certification: Microsoft Certified Azure Developer Associate (Preferred); Microsoft Certified Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (Preferred). Strong Programming Skills: Java, Python, C++, C#, VB.Net, SQL/T-SQL, and JavaScript; understanding of data structures and algorithms; ability to write clean, maintainable code. Cloud Skills: Experience in Hybrid/Cloud environments with code-driven pipelines and security controls. Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex technical challenges and break them into components. SDLC & Methodologies: Familiarity with SDLC; experience with Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming, or similar; Agile/Scaled Agile delivery. Development Tools & Frameworks: Git, IDEs (VS Code, IntelliJ), web frameworks (React, Angular) and mobile frameworks (Flutter, React Native). Collaboration & Communication: Strong written and verbal skills for cross-functional teamwork. Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying updated with technologies and industry trends. Testing & Debugging: Proficiency in automated testing (unit/integration) and debugging. Security & Compliance: Secure coding practices; familiarity with GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001; ability to design compliant solutions. System Design & Architecture: Understanding of scalable, performant software design. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing requirements and new tools. Pay Range $91,000 - $111,000 per year Compensation & Benefits Compensation varies by location, skills, and experience; may include incentives and bonuses.
