Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our advanced manufacturing team. This role is responsible for creating, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex CNC programs for multi-axis machining centers, with a strong focus on precision, efficiency, and manufacturability. Experience with Hypermill or Esprit CAM software is highly desired. The ideal candidate will demonstrate mastery of CNC programming, fixture design, and process optimization in a high-mix, tight-tolerance environment. Base pay range

$85,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities

Programming & Optimization: Develop, prove-out, and optimize CNC programs for 3- and 5-axis machining centers using HSM, Hypermill or Esprit. Process Engineering: Design and document setups, fixtures, and work holding solutions to support efficient machining operations. Generate toolpaths to meet tight tolerances and surface finish requirements for aerospace, defense, or precision manufacturing applications. Evaluate and recommend tooling, cutting strategies, and process improvements to increase throughput and reduce cycle times. Apply advanced manufacturing principles, including single-piece flow and SMED where applicable. Work closely with machinists, engineers, and quality inspectors to resolve programming, tooling, and setup issues. Participate in cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives. Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate program files, setup sheets, and process documentation in accordance with AS9100/ISO standards. Adhere to company safety protocols and industry compliance requirements (ITAR, NADCAP, etc. if applicable). Qualifications

Required: Minimum 3+ years of CNC programming experience in a high-precision manufacturing environment. Proficiency with 5-axis machining and multi-axis toolpath generation. Strong understanding of G-code, M-code, and machine-specific control logic (Fanuc, Heidenhain, Siemens, etc.). Experience with setup, operation, and troubleshooting of CNC machining centers. Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T, and CAD models. Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Preferred:

Proficiency in Hypermill or Esprit CAM software. Experience with aerospace or defense manufacturing standards. Familiarity with automation systems (pallet changers, robotic loading). CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, or similar). Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Manufacturing floor and office environment. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally. May require standing for extended periods during machine setup or program prove-out. Seniority level
