Our work blends design excellence with practical implementation; bridging the gap between visionary concepts and functional outdoor spaces. Position Overview
We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager or Senior Landscape Architect (7–10 years) to lead trail, bike park, and outdoor recreation projects from concept through construction. This position requires strong design sensibility, project leadership, critical thinking, and technical expertise in landscape architecture. You’ll manage a projects design teams, coordinate with clients and stakeholders, and help shape outdoor experiences. Key Responsibilities
Lead design and planning projects from concept development through construction administration. Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. Oversee production of construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates. Review and refine grading, drainage, and site layout designs. Develop and present design concepts and graphics using Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, Rhino, Lumion, or other graphics platforms. Mentor junior designers and contribute to PTD’s collaborative design culture. Participate in site visits, construction observation, and quality control. Support business development and proposal efforts when needed. Qualifications
Degree in Landscape Architecture preferred (BLA or MLA). 7–10 years of professional experience in trail design, landscape architecture, urban design, or outdoor recreation planning. Demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary design projects. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D visualization software. Deep understanding of site design, grading, and construction detailing. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Passion for trail systems, outdoor recreation, and sustainable design. Why PTD?
