About Technical Operations: BioMarin’s Technical Operations group is responsible for creating drugs for clinical trials and for scaling production for the commercial market. This team builds and maintains manufacturing processes, provides quality assurance and quality control to meet regulatory standards, and coordinates the worldwide movement of drugs to patients. The
Temporary Manufacturing Associate
position is for a 6pm to 7am shift from Wednesday to Saturday, with every other Saturday off. Responsibilities
Operate large-scale bioprocess equipment for Cell Culture, Purification, or Buffer and Media processing, demonstrating understanding of science, compliance, and technical aspects. Perform cleaning and sterilization of parts and equipment used in the manufacturing process. Possess knowledge of biotech manufacturing processes and equipment, including cell culture, depth and tangential flow filtration, column chromatography, protein purification and formulation, and/or buffer and media operations. Apply, understand, and evaluate basic chemistry, biology, and scientific principles relevant to the position. Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures, batch records, good documentation practices, and data capture. Proficiency with operating and monitoring process equipment and automated control systems. Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field or engineering, or an associate’s degree in a science-related field or biotech certificate with 2+ years of experience in biotech manufacturing or a regulated industry. (BA/BS preferred but not required; a biotech certificate is acceptable). Experience: 1-2 years in GMP and manufacturing environments; experience with chromatography skids, TFF skids, buffer tanks, lab washers, and autoclaves is preferred. Skills: Ability to adhere to SOPs, batch records, and data documentation; strong attention to detail and ability to work in a regulated environment. Work Environment: Physically demanding with repetitive motions, bending, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, kneeling, and frequent equipment connections. Employment Type
