This position is in the Drivetrain Systems and Software Team and will be responsible for leading the development of hydrostatic transmission controls. Responsibilities
Provides technical leadership in the design, development, and enhancement of electro-mechanical systems to optimize products and systems. Lead multiple programs and be responsible for identifying deliverables, specifying and tracking budget, developing the software and performing verification testing. Provide technical leadership in designing and implementing software and procedures to control and enhance electro-mechanical systems and mechatronic devices performance in collaboration with scientists. Provide technical leadership in designing and prototyping mechatronic devices with motors, solenoids, gears, sensors, and springs. Provide technical direction in identifying and addressing areas of product weakness in finished products. Qualifications
Requires a minimum of a bachelor\u2019s degree in an accredited Engineering or Computer Science field. Experience using MATLAB/Simulink for software development. Extensive knowledge of software tools such as Git, CANalyzer, CANape, and Software Debugger. Extensive knowledge of hydraulics and controls. CAN/J1939 communication protocols. Skills
Analytical Thinking: ability to determine root causes and develop effective solutions. Problem Solving: ability to apply problem-solving approaches to diverse situations. Embedded Systems: knowledge of embedded systems and their applications. Requirements Analysis: ability to elicit, analyze, and record business functionality and non-functionality requirements. This position requires the candidate to work full-time at the Mossville, IL office. Domestic relocation assistance is available. Visa sponsorship is available. Pay Range and Benefits
Summary Pay Range $126,000.00 - $189,000.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple factors. Salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
