Job Description As a Structural Engineer III, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality design solutions for projects of intermediate complexity. You’ll collaborate with senior engineers and cross-disciplinary teams, lead small project scopes, and mentor junior staff. Structural Engineers at CRB contribute to a wide range of impactful projects, including projects in Life Sciences & Pharmaceutical Manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage discipline-specific design scope and budget on small to mid-sized projects.
Develop construction drawing packages and specifications with minimal oversight.
Conduct and lead field surveys, site walks, and construction field reporting.
Identify and document non-compliant existing conditions during site visits.
Interface with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
Support proposal development and contribute to internal training presentations.
Lead squad checks and discipline reviews to ensure design quality.
Mentor Engineer I and Designer I/II team members.
Assist in system design programming and master planning with senior support.
Qualifications Required:
ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Architectural Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a design firm or similar setting.
Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., RISA, Enercalc, Tedds).
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.
Familiarity with structural material codes and applicable building standards.
Preferred:
Professional Engineer (PE) license or in-progress.
Experience coordinating with construction trade partners and vendors.
Strong skills in structural design calculations with limited supervision.
Basic troubleshooting experience with structural systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
