If you\'re looking for a finance role where you\u2019ll genuinely shape the business and not just report on it - this is it. As our Financial Controller, you\u2019ll have ownership of financial strategy and processes, leading the way on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. You won\u2019t just crunch numbers. You\u2019ll collaborate with operations, supply chain, and leadership teams, directly influencing key decisions and uncovering opportunities to drive profitability. Your financial insights will be valued, and you\u2019ll have meaningful opportunities to contribute directly to our growth. We\u2019re looking for someone who\u2019s comfortable owning the day-to-day but driven by the ambition to grow into a bigger leadership role, helping build the financial backbone of a company that makes products pets (and their people) love. Responsibilities
Work with internal and external accounting teams, overseeing all financial reporting, accounting processes, and ensuring compliance with GAAP. Lead financial collaboration with operations and supply chain teams, analyzing cost structures, streamlining processes, and proactively identifying savings and efficiencies to directly drive profitability and operational excellence. Own budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling, guiding strategic decisions and business planning. Serve as the key financial resource across the organization, providing clear, actionable insights to inform strategy and decision-making. Manage cash flow proactively, forecasting future financial needs to support our rapid growth. Continuously evaluate and enhance financial processes, systems, and internal controls to scale effectively as we expand. Educate and empower internal stakeholders on financial best practices and performance metrics, embedding financial clarity across the company. What we\'re looking for
A finance professional who thinks like an owner - ready to step in, take charge, and proactively shape our financial and operational strategy. Proven financial management experience in a high-growth environment, owning budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Direct experience partnering with supply chain teams on inventory management, EDI system integration, cost analysis, vendor negotiations, and process optimization. Strong operational skills, comfortable diving into details to identify efficiencies, reduce costs, and drive profitability. Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop and ERP systems. E-commerce experience preferred. Bachelor\u2019s degree in Finance or Accounting and a CPA preferred. Strong data analysis skills working with complex data sources to identify inconsistencies to develop key insights. Experience with trade spend management in wholesale channels. Seniority level
