Overview
Financial Reporting Accountant at Agiliti. The Financial Reporting Accountant will be responsible for assessment of all technical accounting matters, actively participating in month-end close processes, and preparing reporting packages for management and external parties. This role interacts with accounting, finance, and external auditors to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with external standards. It will also participate in quarterly financial reporting and perform financial analyses and other ad hoc projects when necessary. Responsibilities
Perform technical accounting research as needed and prepare memos documenting conclusions and proper accounting treatment. Interact with external auditors regarding accounting conclusions reached. Assist in the preparation of the Company’s financial statements, including the preparation of footnotes and maintaining supporting documentation. Assist in the monthly close process by booking journal entries and performing reconciliations for goodwill, intangibles, debt, pension, contract costs, stock-based compensation, and other areas as needed. Perform required calculations for lender covenants with a basic understanding of EBITDA and financial ratios. Understand, document and properly account for the Company’s stock-based compensation utilizing third party stock compensation software. Provide detailed financial statement account analyses for management and external auditors (e.g., balance sheet and cash flow fluctuations). Support external audit and participate in the development of accounting policies. Support the accounting department on special projects and activities, as needed. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting 2-3 years experience in Accounting; mix of public accounting and corporate accounting experience highly preferred Strong knowledge of technical GAAP and financial statement requirements Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Strong knowledge of GAAP including experience performing research on technical accounting issues and the analysis and reporting of financial data, including cash flows Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work independently and recommend process improvements Strong work ethic and ability to prioritize workload with urgency as appropriate Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to interact with all levels of management Knowledge and experience with SAP GL is helpful but not required Additional Information
