As a Pharmacy Manager, you will lead and develop a pharmacy team that provides exceptional patient care, promote best practices, and lead through change while identifying and addressing performance opportunities. You will support program awareness, onboard new pharmacy team members, and recognize colleagues for their success. The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for direct and effective management of their pharmacy team, including but not limited to: living our purpose, ensuring safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, immunizing practices, and maintaining compliance with all legal and regulatory guidelines. Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices Overseeing the pharmacy team during bench shifts, coaching, and follow-up of team members Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails Contributing to positive patient experiences through empathy, collaboration with the patient’s healthcare team, and resolving insurance or medication issues Offering and delivering immunizations and educating Pharmacy Technicians to immunize Managing pharmacy inventory with emphasis on protecting cold chain products Conducting onboarding for new Technicians and Pharmacists and ensuring timely completion of required training and/or licensure Ensuring operations comply with state Board of Pharmacy regulations; escalating issues as needed Partnering with Store Manager to maintain a healthy talent pipeline and ensure completion of training for licensure Overseeing Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists where applicable; delivering performance reviews and closing gaps Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic; managing the pharmacy schedule Reviewing business reporting and developing action plans to improve workflow, service, patient care, and compliance Establishing a culture of safety, empowerment, and inclusion; encouraging feedback and action Maintaining clinical and technical skills; pursuing training and CMEs; expanding knowledge to support patients Providing pharmacist-led clinical care (e.g., testing and prescribing where permissible) to improve patient outcomes Understanding and complying with all applicable laws, regulations, standards, and CVS Health policies; safeguarding patient privacy and maintaining a safe workplace Required Qualifications
Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located Active National Provider Identifier (NPI) Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacist Essential Functions
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe Attention and Focus: concentrate on tasks, pivot between tasks, ensure prescription accuracy Customer Service and Team Orientation: help people, respond to patient reactions Communication Skills: verbal and written communication, active listening Mathematical Reasoning: calculate days supply, quantities, and labeling Problem Resolution: address challenging interactions and choose best actions Physical Demands: mobility, lifting, reaching, typing, vision, and other physical requirements Team Management and Leadership: lead by example, delegate, motivate, provide feedback, adapt, coach and discipline as needed Additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager Preferred Qualifications
Completion of the CVS Pharmacy Manager Emerging Leader (PM-EL) program 3-5 years of related work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting Ability to work in the home store and across the market to meet business needs Anticipated Weekly Hours

$65.00 - $82.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade; actual offer depends on experience, education, geography, and other factors. Eligible for CVS Health bonus or incentive program. Benefits
