Location: Clyde, NC 28721 (Western North Carolina nursing jobs)
Healthcare Setting: Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Cardiac Specialty
Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract
Start Date: October 27, 2025
Nursing Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Hours per Week: 36
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Unit Size: 22 beds
Patient Ratio: 4:1
Electronic Health Record: Paragon
Scrub Color: Navy
Qualifications
Active RN license (North Carolina or compact state)
Minimum 2 years of recent step-down, PCU, or ICU nursing experience
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Ability to float to other units as needed
Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to adult cardiac patients, including post-cardiac cath lab and cardioversion cases
Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry data
Work with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
Accurately document patient information in the Paragon EHR system
Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions and treatments
Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment
Float to other nursing units as required
