Position Summary: The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, seeks to recruit an academic Surgical Pathologist at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor (tenure-track/tenured, fixed-term, or variable track). The successful candidate will be eligible for membership in the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, with opportunities for collaboration with a Breast research program. Teaching opportunities include residency and fellowship education, with additional teaching in the School of Medicine and the Graduate School. Minimum Education And Experience Requirements: MD, DO or other MD-equivalent degree; board-certified or board-eligible in Anatomic Pathology; eligible to obtain a medical license in North Carolina. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, And Experience: We are a subspecialized surgical pathology division; preference will be given to candidates with fellowship training and/or expertise in Breast Pathology. Candidates willing to provide additional coverage in Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology, Cytopathology, or Gynecologic Pathology are encouraged to apply. Participation in a multidisciplinary Breast tumor board and effective communication with an active clinical care team are required.
