SLP / Speech Language Pathologist - Home Health (PRN) Office Location: Annandale, VA Coverage area: Loudoun County Schedule: PRN; Flexible Scheduling Salary Range: USD $25.00 - $40.00 / Hour Responsibilities
Communicate with patients to evaluate their levels of speech or language difficulty, determining the need for continued therapy services Teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices Teach alternative communication methods, such as sign language, to patients with little or no speech capability Educate and guide healthcare team members, patients, and caregivers in specific aspects of therapeutic exercises to support continued progress outside of direct therapy sessions Document appropriate progress and clinical notes noting patient's response to therapy and submit visit documentation per Agency policy Qualifications
Minimum of Master\'s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from a college or university with accredited Speech Language Pathology program A minimum of one (1) year\'s work experience as a Speech Language Pathologist Current, unrestricted license as an Speech Language Pathologist by state in which practicing Current BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification in accordance with state regulations Benefits and Perks
