As a Validation Engineer, you will be part of the Hardware & Wireless Validation Department supporting cross-functional teams. Job Title: Validation Engineer Location: Foster City, CA Pay Range: $86/hour Responsibilities
Develop, document, and execute comprehensive validation tests for hardware and network-connected devices. Conduct hands-on functional, performance, environmental, and reliability testing on physical hardware and network systems. Collaborate with design engineers and external partners to ensure systems meet performance, quality, and regulatory standards. Select, procure, configure, and maintain test equipment and develop custom test assets using Python and TTCN. Draft detailed documentation including test plans, design reviews, and data analysis reports, ensuring compliance with international regulations. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field. 6+ years of relevant professional experience in electronics development and validation. Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting wireless test platforms (Keysight, Rohde & Schwarz) and Ethernet products. Expertise in Ethernet standards, IP network protocols, and 4G-LTE / 5G-NR network architecture. Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and experience with regulatory conformance testing. What’s in it for me?
