Manager, Procurement Sourcing

This position is responsible for the development and execution of procurement category strategies, strategic sourcing initiatives, and supplier relationship management for assigned indirect spend categories; the goal is reducing operating expense while improving services provided across all business units. The categories may include but are not limited to Professional Services and Human Resource initiatives (Human Capital Management, Vendor Management Systems, Managed Service Providers, Benefits, Learning Management), IT hardware, software, maintenance, and Finance, Revenue Cycle. Essential Responsibilities: Develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with the key stakeholders, HR needs and overall business goals. Collaborate with the HR function and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into actionable sourcing plans. Ensure compliance criteria are met. Negotiate, coordinate, and ensure that assigned spend categories are purchased at the lowest possible cost without compromise to quality. Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and innovation in HR sourcing. Establish and maintain strong vendor relationships, conducting regular performance reviews and addressing any issues or concerns. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards throughout the sourcing process. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to review and approve vendor contracts, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams regarding procurement best practices, policies, and procedures. Stay informed about emerging technologies and market trends that could impact the HR procurement landscape. Participate in budget planning and forecasting activities, providing insights on expected procurement costs and trends. Lead or contribute to special projects aimed at optimizing sourcing processes, driving efficiency, and enhancing the overall HR sourcing function. Perform cost and/or usage analyses, benchmarking and contract compliance to determine savings potential and present findings to business and functional leads. Maintain current vendor directory and databases including contract management. Maintain current GPO contract portfolio and notify internal customers when contracts are modified. Monitor corporate purchasing contracts for product additions/deletions and notify internal customers of changes that would require additional follow-up. Review proposed contracts/agreements for accuracy and compliance with GPO or corporate Terms and Conditions. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and strategic suppliers. Assist with corporate and local/regional contract review and renewals when needed. Other duties as assigned. Contribute to special projects aimed at optimizing sourcing processes, driving efficiencies, and enhancing the overall IT sourcing function. Source, evaluate, and select vendors for IT hardware, software, and services based on quality, cost, and compliance criteria. Regular and reliable attendance is required. Knowledge and Skills: Experience leading end-to-end Strategic Sourcing initiatives Experience with contract negotiations Experience with data gathering and analysis Experience reviewing contract Terms and Conditions Experience with Group Purchasing Organizations (GPO) preferred Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience with progressive experience in strategic sourcing and procurement, with demonstrated success in managing categories within HR, Finance, Revenue Cycle, and/or IT. Employment at AMSURG:
