Executive Director of Financial Services / Partner - Ascendo Resources A leading banking organization is seeking an experienced Lead Mixed Methods UX Researcher to shape data-driven product experiences across multiple digital platforms. This individual will oversee the design, execution, and communication of research initiatives that directly inform the company’s digital strategy. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who excels at both qualitative and quantitative research, capable of mentoring a team while partnering closely with stakeholders to translate insights into business and design impact. Please note that it is a requirement of this role to be completely bilingual in Spanish and English! Responsibilities
Lead and manage end-to-end UX research projects — from scoping and methodology design to execution, analysis, and presentation of insights. Conduct diverse studies, including user interviews, usability testing, ethnography, heuristic evaluations, and quantitative surveys. Guide and mentor a small team of UX researchers, fostering collaboration, rigor, and innovation. Partner with product, design, engineering, and business stakeholders to validate assumptions, test hypotheses, and influence key decisions. Prioritize and balance strategic research initiatives with ongoing tactical support. Communicate and present findings to cross-functional teams and executive leadership in a compelling, actionable manner. Drive continuous improvement of research processes, documentation, and toolkits to elevate organizational research maturity. Manage the UX research budget, oversee external vendors, and participate in the recruitment and development of top research talent. Qualifications
8+ years of professional UX research experience, including hands-on execution and leadership of mixed-methods research. Proven experience leading and mentoring research teams in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Design, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred). Expertise in qualitative and quantitative methods, including usability testing, concept validation, A/B testing, and statistical analysis. Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder-management skills; able to distill complex findings into clear business insights. Strong business and technical acumen with familiarity in digital banking or financial services preferred. Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented, with exceptional presentation skills. Fully bilingual in English and Spanish
