Our client, a nationwide corporate services firm, is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join their expanding team in Westchester County, NY. This is a newly created role, added to staff following a recent acquisition and merger. The position reports directly to the Controller and CFO/COO and offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact during an exciting period of transformation and growth. About the Role
As a Senior Accounting Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading the company’s financial operations—driving accuracy, insight, and efficiency across accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. This individual will be instrumental in scaling processes, strengthening internal controls, and supporting data-driven decisions across the business. Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including month-end close, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements. Oversee AP/AR review, cash management, banking activities, and asset accounting while partnering cross-functionally to ensure smooth financial operations. Conduct monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses, budget variance reviews, and cash flow assessments to support strategic planning. Partner with the Controller and CFO to deliver actionable financial insights and support key business initiatives. Develop, document, and maintain accounting processes and internal control procedures. Support and mentor accounting staff, contributing to professional growth and process consistency. Ensure ongoing compliance with GAAP and internal audit standards. Lead or assist with special projects, process improvements, and system enhancements as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s degree and/or CPA preferred. 6–10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with strong knowledge of GAAP and full financial statement ownership. Experience with NetSuite ERP and Salesforce preferred. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
