Overview
University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health (UM UCH) is a community-based, non-profit health system serving northeastern Maryland. Full-time evening/night shift from 3pm to 3am. Under general supervision, performs routine and specialized diagnostic radiologic procedures. Responsibilities
Executes basic clinical competence in general radiology including fluoroscopy, in all locations across all patient types. Selects accurate technical factors on an individual patient basis and demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient. Applies knowledge of radiology principles and practices, including anatomy and physiology, radiation protection and physics, radiographic positioning and patient care skills. Adheres to Joint Commission, State, Federal and departmental regulatory compliance standards. Documents accurate patient care activity in various electronic health records systems. Maintains a safe and appropriate work environment. Manages supplies and inventory; notifies appropriate colleagues when supplies need to be ordered. Documents and reports equipment/environmental problems in accordance with policy. Participates in departmental and organizational performance improvement initiatives to improve workflows, patient experience, and quality. Participates in student and employee training and educational activities. Qualifications
Education
Associate Degree, or Certificate, in radiologic technology from a program accredited by USDE or CHEA. Experience
No Experience Required Licensures/Certifications
Registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Licensed Radiographer - State of MD Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Compensation
