Relationship Manager - Wealth Management at Vanguard. Manage a book of self-directed ultra-high-net-worth clients, each holding between $5–25 million in Vanguard assets. Act as the primary point of contact for self-directed ultra-high-net-worth clients within your book of business, delivering a personalized, high-touch experience. Build trust and deepen client loyalty by anticipating needs and aligning solutions through education and guidance to help clients achieve long-term goals. Engage in discussions on sophisticated topics such as partnering with advice, increasing share of wallet, private equity, trusts, margin, and charitable giving to expand client impact. Support strategic planning for your book of business and contribute to growth initiatives and client retention efforts. Foster strong relationships by connecting with clients through genuine curiosity, empathy, and understanding of their financial aspirations. Deliver exceptional client service by proactively addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a seamless experience across touchpoints. Demonstrate credibility through deep technical knowledge of Vanguard’s products and services, with comprehensive training provided to support success. Qualifications
This role requires regulatory licenses and/or registrations (e.g., FINRA, state, SFC), the SIE, Series 7 and 63/65 or 66 (or equivalent). Compliance will determine substitutions based on role-specific duties. The SIE & Series 7 are required prior to starting with Vanguard; Series 66 can be acquired upon starting. Strong foundation in managing a book of business within financial services — typically 3+ years of experience. Experience building trusted relationships with high-net-worth or ultra-high-net-worth clients (2+ years preferred). Consultative mindset with a passion for guiding clients through financial services solutions. Comfort discussing ETFs, mutual funds, legacy and estate planning, charitable giving, and other wealth management topics. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience demonstrating ability to learn and lead. Work Model
This role follows Vanguard’s hybrid working model — in-office Tuesdays through Thursdays, remote Mondays and Fridays — designed to support flexibility and collaboration. Special Factors
