Overview

We are hiring an Electrical Foreman to work with us in the Salt Lake City area on large-scale commercial projects. General Responsibilities

Works with a commitment to safety Upholds the core values of Encore Electric Acts as a professional and uses basic work ethics Arrives to work on time with appropriate attire and tools Keeps work area clean Installs quality work in a neat and workmanship-like manner Treats tools with respect Works and climbs on ladders, lifts, and elevated platforms Identifies electrical parts and components Performs strenuous physical work (e.g., digging, kneeling, shoveling, lifting, pulling, pushing, climbing) Keeps up with changing technology Keeps up with the national electrical code Wears tools at all required times Works in all weather conditions Specific Responsibilities

Supervise Foremen, Journeymen, and Apprentices, demonstrating leadership at the highest level Supervise crews installing raceways, pulling wire, and mounting equipment; train apprentices and journeymen to do the same Act as the go-to person in the field Establish, maintain, and participate in Encore’s mentoring program Train, develop, mentor, and coach future supervision Motivate crew and project, maintaining morale on projects Communicate goals for the job site to employees at all levels Promote continuing education Plan and organize assigned tasks for apprentices and journeymen Lead by example Process Improvement

Help develop Encore standards and processes and hold others accountable Participate in Foremen meetings Help develop phase codes for the project Risk Management

Take accountability for safety, quality control, and productivity in your area Identify and correct errors Ensure employees follow policies and procedures Ensure employees wear proper Personal Protective Equipment Ensure the crew has adequate tools, materials, craftsmen, and labor Maintain contingency planning and progress tracking Serve as a frontline field representative Educate others on basic building codes and life safety Track materials and purchase orders Coordinate with other trades Orientate employees to safety, logistics, and scope Review rigging plans for equipment Perform take-offs May perform hot work if qualified and trained with precautions in place Commit to continuing education including: Leadership/foremanship, staying current with technology and the national electrical code, OSHA 30 Customer Service

Act proactively with customers and design team on value engineering and constructability Read and understand RFI and Job Labor Production Reports Preplan the project to stay ahead by at least two weeks, ensuring work and materials are available Order materials and tools, ensure costs are considered Coordinate prefabrication as needed and maintain a daily to-do list Understand crew capabilities and manage staffing with other foremen Identify long-range milestones and short-range goals Prioritize according to project and customer needs Update as-built drawings and panel schedules for assigned tasks Create and follow up on punch lists Communicate employee roles and fit within the project goals Proactively communicate with AHJ, customers, and superiors Adhere to specifications, value engineering, and contract documents Knowledge Of

Construction process from scheduling to manpower and materials Constructability and electrical construction cost management Electrical estimates and basic algebra/geometry/statistics/financial math Physical Requirements

A functional physical is required to perform field positions. Requirements may be repetitive and prolonged, including: Driving Sitting Climbing Lifting up to 50 lbs (floor to chest) Lifting up to 50 lbs (floor to waist) Lifting up to 30 lbs per arm (waist to overhead) Carrying up to 50 lbs Standing Stooping Vision acuity Walking Kneeling Trimming Pushing up to 100 lbs Pulling up to 100 lbs Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required Degree in a related field preferred Four years of apprenticeship training or three years of apprenticeship with a two-year degree One year of leadman experience and Journeyman Wireman’s license from Utah Demonstrated leadership skills required Leadership Level I (Supervision) preferred Benefits
